WE PRODUCE EXECUTIVE ARTWORK

/ 01 — Practice

We work with what is left behind. Roots polished by twenty winters of saltwater. Stones rounded by a river that has forgotten its own name.

Stone Drifter is a sculpture studio creating site-specific works for hospitality, residential and curatorial projects.

About the studio —>

We are located in the Foothills of northwestern South Carolina. We have access to a plethora of coastal and indigenous types of timber to produce beautiful works of art. If you have any questions, please contact us about any certain type of wood that you would like to be used in your artwork.

/ 03 — In Situ

Placed where stillness is currency.

We work directly with owners’ representatives and curators to ensure each piece is perfectly placed.

Trade & resort enquiries

/ 04 — Method

A four-tide process, from shoreline to plinth.

01

Beachcomb

We walk the shoreline for fallen Cypress and what nature provides for us, cured by years of salt.

02

Resource

Our fine wood specimens and stone specimens are from the Southeast. This provides us with a great selection to work with to fill your needs.

03

Compose

Each piece is balanced and pinned by hand. No two compositions repeat.

04

Finish & ship

Sealed with natural oils, crated, and installed with white-glove logistics worldwide.
